Hi, my name is Cindy Schumacher, and this will be my eighteenth year of teaching at West Central High School. I teach all of the senior English classes, from Senior Composition and World Literature to AP English, and Film Appreciation. I am also the advisor for the Yearbook and Co-Coach for Oral Interp.

I grew up in a small town in central Wisconsin, one of five children: three boys and two girls. I attended University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for two years before marrying and moving to Albany, New York, where I finished college at SUNY-Albany, majoring in English Education. I taught in New York for one year before moving with my husband around the country for a bit, from Washington D.C., to Charleston, WV, to Grand Forks, ND, until we have finally settled down in Sioux Falls, SD. We love it here and never want to move again.
Reading and writing have been passions of mine all of my life, and I am truly delighted to have found a job where I can experience that passion and share it with others every single day.
